Excellent opportunity for a Sales, Marketing and Events Co-ordinator based at our woodland offices, near Downpatrick.  

 

Sales, Marketing and Events Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic, values-led, and long-established family business to support its growth strategy.

We are looking for a creative individual with a passion for outdoor events, a flare for communications, the attention to detail required to deliver outstanding customer services, and the focus required to promote a growing business. 

The post will involve working across our two main brands, Finnebrogue Woods - our events business at home, and Magnakata - our events business which operates throughout Ireland (www.magnakata.com).

 

Other Essential Details:

  • Salary, £22 - £26K
  • Full-time Permanent Position
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • You will be required to facilitate viewings and client meeting in the evenings and occasionally at weekends
  • The post will be office-based, but you will need access to a car to attend meetings, and always have wellies at hand!

Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following:

 

Sales and Operations

  • Manage our busy sales and customer enquiry service.
  • Provide detailed customer advise, estimates, bespoke quotes, and invoices.
  • Schedule and undertake client meetings, viewings and site visits.
  • Provide advice, floorplans, and support to clients (both private and corporate) in the lead up to their events.
  • Book any sub-contractors, and liaise with our operations team re event schedule and logistics
  • Monitor and evaluate our customer enquiry, viewing and overall sales service, through gaining feedback from potential customers.
  • Monitor and evaluate our customer services and client relations through gaining feedback from our customers.
  • Provide weekly and quarterly reports at team meetings in relation to sales enquiries, bookings, and feedback from our potential customers and clients.

 

Marketing & Communications

  • Create and deliver a sustainable marketing strategy with SMART objectives and clear deliverable goals.
  • Manage and deliver a social media strategy, with a focus on web content and with SMART objectives and clear deliverable goals.
  • Managing and deliver an annual promotional events programme to motivate business growth, including attending outside wedding shows, and company viewing initiatives, annual open days and special events (for example ‘A taste of Finnebrogue Woods’).
  • Maintain and update listings on our current directories and promotional platforms and identify any new opportunities (Quirky Weddings, Bridebook, One Fab Day).
  • Manage any print and digital marketing initiatives and enquiries from Wedding and Events Publications (Confetti, Wedding Journal etc.).
  • Network and collaborate with our industry partners to maximise any opportunities for successful promotional activities (wedding bloggers, wedding suppliers, accommodation suppliers).
  • Identify and create opportunities for press coverage and PR activities, communicating with media partners, organising photo calls, and writing and issuing press releases.
  • Develop new customer information in response to customer feedback in the form of printed materials, web content & company blog features in line with company branding and core values.
  • Manage projects with graphic and web designer, photographers, printers, digital marketing professionals, and any other outside companies.
  • Maintain an up to date photo library, covering our clients’ events by connecting with and gaining authorisation from past clients and their photographers to use their photography and video content, with attention to copyright implications and respect for client privacy.
  • Write and publish Finnebrogue Woods’ marketing materials including social media posts, blog entries, e-newsletters, web content, press-releases and any other publications in line with our marketing strategy and branding protocol.
  • Evaluate all marketing activities in terms of reach, reaction, bookings and targets, providing updates at weekly team meetings, and a full report on all marketing activities monthly at team meetings.

Essential Criteria

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Events Management or a related discipline and at least 2 years full-time employment in a similar role in the past 5 years.
  • OR 5 years full-time experience in a similar role in the past 10 years.
  • A driver’s license and access to a car.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in copywriting and producing website content
  • Evidence of digital and social media marketing experience
  • Experience in a managing a busy sales enquiry service
  • Experience in utilising a web-based Content Management System
  • Knowledge and Experience of The Weddings and / or Events Industries in Ireland
  • Competence in using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in using Microsoft Excel and Accouting Software (eg. Xero, Kashflow)
