Afterschool Forest School
Afterschool Forest School
We're delighted to introduce our new Afterschool course for primary school aged children (P1-P7).
Led by our experienced Forest School Leader and Playworker Joan, each session will focus on the children’s learning and development and of course be a lot of fun!
Places on this afterschool forest school course will be limited to allow the leader to work with the group and also give one to one learning through play.
Based in our beautiful woodland environment and impressive Bushcraft Camp, the children can expect to learn how to make a shelter, build a rope swing, identify birds, animals, fungi, trees and plants, safely use tools such as, knives, hand drill and bowsaw while spending time outdoors immersed in nature and meeting new friends. There will also be a walking element to the experience when we go on our wildlife wanders.
This 6 week programme supports play, learning, exploration and supported risk taking in a small group. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in the natural woodland setting with new friends. It is important for attendance at all the sessions to get the maximum benefit (no refund given).
Cost: £100 for 6 weeks
Dates: Monday 10,17,24,31 March & 7,14 April
Time: 4pm-6pm
(Please note these sessions are for children only. Children will be supervised by our experienced leader Joan.
