Afterschool Forest School (4 - 11 Yrs)
Afterschool Forest School
For primary school children (P1-P7)
6 week course
Led by our experienced Forest School Leader and Playworker Joan, each session will focus on the children’s play and of course be a lot of fun!
Based in our beautiful woodland environment and impressive Bushcraft Camp, the children can expect to learn how to make a shelter, build a rope swing, identify birds, animals, fungi, trees and plants, safely use tools such as, knives and bowsaw while spending time outdoors immersed in nature and meeting new friends. There will also be a walking element to the experience when we go on our wildlife wanders.
This 6 week programme supports play, learning, exploration and supported risk taking in a small group. It develops confidence and self-esteem through learner inspired, hands-on experiences in the natural woodland setting.
