Kids Bushcraft- Campfire Fun

£25.00

Join our Bushcraft expert Rob & Forest School leader Joan and master lighting and sustaining a campfire plus other essential wilderness skills!

Gathering fuel and sustaining a campfire is not an easy skill to master in our damp climate in Northern Ireland. However, it is one of the most important skills in outdoor environments for cooking, warmth, security, light and socialising and is a skill that will stay with you all of your life.

Guided by Rob & Joan, kids will learn how to gather natural fuel, light and keep a fire going and how to cook a variety of different food and warm drinks. Kids will learn ancient methods of fire lighting and will work both individually and as a team to support each other in this session.

In the wilderness, having a good knowledge of how and where to source water is a vital skill for sustaining life. Kids will also learn about finding sources, analysing and making safe drinking water.

This is an authentic bushcraft experience, where kids will enjoy the outdoors, learn new skills and have a lot of fun too! We always fit in time to enjoy a chat around the campfire and a tasty hot chocolate!
