Upcoming Dates

Our sessions take place outdoors in all weather. Please come prepared with warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear. These sessions are developed around the children in the group, using a Forest School principles & lesson plans as a guide. Please dress to spend the whole time outdoors in all weathers and bring a drink and snack for your little one. On arrival go through the wooden gates at the main car park and follow the signs to the Bushcraft & Wild Cooking carpark (keeping to the left) where you will be welcomed by a member of our team.

Come and join Joan for an authentic woodland play experience in the heart of Finnebrogue Woods. These relaxed, hands-on sessions offer families the chance to explore together, discovering the joys of woodland play and simple survival skills in a calm and supportive setting.

Each visit brings something new - changing with the seasons, the survival themes chosen, and the natural wonders waiting to be found. It’s a lovely opportunity to spend unhurried time together outdoors, strengthening bonds while also giving children the space to build confidence, develop problem -solving skills, spark imagination, and deepen their connection with nature. And just as much learning and laughter is guaranteed for the grown-ups too!

The sessions are led by Joan Noade, a Forest School leader and Playworker with over 25 years of experience. Joan brings a warm, genuine passion for outdoor play, an infectious enthusiasm, and a wealth of knowledge that helps families feel welcomed, supported, and inspired.
