Meet our Team

Learn from the best

George Anthony joined the team in the Summer of 2022 and will be leading our bushcraft experiences for the 2023 season. He’s gained extensive experience over the last 20 years instructing Duke of Edinburgh participants and leading expeditions to the Himalayas and South America, gaining mountain leader and paddle instructor qualifications along the way. His passion for the wild outdoors is infectious!

Amy Dixon
set up Wandering Wild Forest School in 2018 and since then has introduced thousands of children (and adults) to the beauty of outdoor play and connecting with nature. Prior to this she obtained a degree in Nature Conservation Management and worked with young adults with autism in social enterprise. She loves being part of someone’s journey when they discover the magic of fire lighting and is an advocate for introducing more women to bushcraft. "My interest has always been in nature conservation. It was after having children myself that I explored Forest Schools and discovered my true passion"

Our expert Bushman Rob Hill has a wealth of knowledge and real world adventure experience. He is a qualified mountain leader and has led and participated in expeditions worldwide; from the Antarctic to the jungles of Central America; the Canadian wilderness to the peaks of the Andes. Rob thrives in passing on his outdoor knowledge to all, and if you manage to spend time with him by the campfire, he might spin you a yarn that will rival any adventure book.

In order to further his experience and build on an already formidable knowledge base Rob is taking a 7 month sabbatical to some incredible locations in South America. We look forward to him returning to Finnebrogue with new skills and long tales in October 2023.

Rory Gorman is a young exciting chef from Belfast who possesses a burning desire and passion for all things fire & flavour. With an influence from ancient Celtic traditions, he’s at his most inspired cooking in the woods over fire using local & seasonal produce, always mixed with a little bit of mischief!
